I can attest to 12's on cheap 91 fuel...near stock!!

well fellas took my evo 9 to the track this last weekend

bought a works air filter and had a hallman boost controller set at stock boost. used it to keep the psi up towards the top end. its was a nice day a little windy in the 60's.

R/T .477
60' 1.775
330 5.215
1/8 8.135
MPH 82.90
1000 10.723
1/4 12.892
MPH 104.09

I was really hoping for a 1.6 60 foot but kept on spinning out at the launch.
This was done at 40 psi on tires.

my other two runs were a 13.0 and 13.1

Hah, if you wanted a 1.6 60', why did you have your tires at autocross psi? Hell, 40psi is too high even for daily driving. If you're spinning, you lower the tire pressure - simple as that.

Anyway, very nice, but once again, it is highly unbelievable. The 60' wasn't that good, and if you were spinning, it's even less likely to hit 12.8 @ 104. A time like that would require about 106mph on a 1.77 60'. Strange things coming out of CA tracks these last few days. What track was this?

in terms of the psi on tires i know its high although ive heard of evo owners jacking up their differential with a hard launch. id rather waste my tire than my differential.

This was done at fontana track in southern california

Thanks for your insight there John Force.

Nice run Evil, don't let wartalon warp you in anyway. He likes to think he knows everything.

EDITED

How can you be a fan of a person who can't break into the 11s. With all the talk he does... well thats all he does.

Try photobucket, it's free and takes 2 minutes to sign up. I also think they give you unlimited space

Dryad, what's your problem man? Maybe if you know nothing about drag racing, you can just read these claims and say nothing, but I do know a lot about drag racing, especially with the Evo and what it runs. In this case, it does not make any sense to run a 12.8 @ 104 with a 1.77 60'. It's possible he's an amazing driver, but he started off in a deep hole with the launch. Spinning to a 1.77 60' does NOT get you a great ET relative to the mph, yet his et vs mph would indicate a low 1.6 60'. That didn't happen, so it's probably one of a few scenarios:

- The times are adjusted for altitude
- He was normally running 106-107mph traps but had an abnormally low 104 on this one run
- The timers were messed up

Fontana is not a fast track, so these are unlikely occurrences on 91oct with just an MBC. I'd like to believe it, because I prefer our new Evo owners to do very well so that they represent the Evo positively, but some things are just not believable until you get all the right info.

As for me not running 11s, if I made anywhere near as much power as you, I'd have hit 11s a long time ago. I'd also love to see you come up here to 6000' altitude and run 11s - feel free to try. I don't believe you hit 12.000 with basic stg1 bolt-ons, did you? Nope, but you can talk all you want.

EvilAwd, upload the slip to Photobucket, then just link it in the thread.

So your saying I need to downgrade?

Why should I post my times anymore? First reason is because of crybabies such as yourself who calls foul on every drag racing thread, or any thread you post in. I think you've been off of ignore long enough, Im sick of seeing your garbage nonsense comments.
