Keep the good work. (el carro esta que estilla). 121wph with stock turbo and full weight with a lot of sh&t on the trunk, that's a hell of a tune. Siga para adelante mi pana

8000rpm limit
1. 235/45-17 = 121 mph

Definitely is doable on the IX

What effect would a larger tire have on the finish at the track? I'm running 245/40/18, would that give me more slack in terms of being able to finish in 4th?

Yes, a TALLER (not necessarily larger) tire will give you taller gearing and thus more room to run in 4th. I am using the exact same tires as this guy now - 245/45-17 Nitto 555R - and am crossing the traps 300-400rpm less with the same trap speeds. I'm sure you could put my previous tires (255/40-17) and the new ones into a calculator to determine the exact rpm savings, but I knew that I didn't want to be revving so high in 4th at this altitude, and I needed extra traction, so I went with this size/type. Use online tire calculators to determine exact diameter differences between different tire sizes. 245/40-18 is actually 1% taller than 245/45-17, so you should have a good bit more room in 4th than stock. However, remember that your speedo is reading LOW when driving on the street...

Anyway, I know this thread is over a year old, but 3000ways make a very good point about the trap going WAY up without the ET going down even with a good 60'.
