New Stock ECU RECORD on 20G-LT
OKIX did it. After losing to Jon Shepherd in the Semi-finals on a hole shot win, OKIX-11.04, Shep-11.24 (hole shot win), we decided to go ahead and keep our heads up.
OKIX had low et of the meet for stock appearing evo. Was consistently .3 better all day. Any way, we changed tires and decided to go for the record, on a day that NO ONE could get traction. Cold, no traction, 60's were ALL off by .1 to .2 by everyone. Just not there. First pass, 10.90, our best et ever. Next pass 10.891, tied David Buschurs time of 10.89 also. Next pass, we had to hot lap it, since track was shutting down. Straight back to the line, burn out, then at the line. 10.87 at 128mph. NEW RECORD FOR STOCK ECU ON THE 20G-LT. Hard work, great fun, then David bought the pizza and beer. Well worth the trip.
Video of the last 4 runs, 10.90, 10.93, 10.89, 10.87:

Congrats to OKIX on the amazing time!!!
I can vouch for the consistency of this car today, the kid was fearless coming out of the hole on every pass but the weather wasn't cooperating, nice to hear that finally at the end by changing tires the 60ft times dropped and an awesome mark was established!!!

I worked my ars off. The launching was so bad today, the best 60's were in the high 1.6's all day. Tires pressures would go up, then cool down in the staging lanes. Air quality was incredible early, then the o2 changed. For some reason, the boost was a problem for several guys. I made a few timing and AFR changes before the last 2 passes of 10.89 and 10.87. I also made 1 degree change at very top. MPH went up, and the record fell. The first congratulations came from David Buschur. Another Buschur car sets the record. Congratulations to Jon Shepherd for winning the Evo Stock Appearing class. One hell-of-a-day.

Fully interior, fully optioned RS. Basic changes, wheels, brakes + rear mustache bar. Also has 5 point Roll bar. Car weighs about 3150.
94Aawdcoupe, were still running the 26X9.50X15 Hoosiers. Our final run 60's were the best of nearly all the eliminator class and the stock appearing class. We're leaving the car for Buschur to freshen up and change out the Evo IX 4th gear to the Evo VIII 4th. After that, the final ratio changes enough to go to your 24.5X 15's. Today, we we're bumping the revlimiter in 4th using the 25.7 Nitto's during the earlier competition. At that time, the limiter was set on 8300. No way to go any shorter with the IX gear. Now, I'll be ordering the shorter tires, since we'll have a taller 4th. To date, he has about 6 1.5x 60's at 127-128mph on the 26.1's.
