This is Pinks all out, so you can win up to about $16,000 if you were the last car standing, you do not lose your ride though. Somedays that doesn't sound like a bad idea though! haha
They start with 400 cars and find the 16 cars that are closest in ET and run them heads up down to 1 car left (of course
. You get $10,000 for winning and can bet up to $1,000 per round.
I HIGHLY doubt we will make the 16 car field. They are looking for cars that run the same ET each pass during qualifying, that way the 16 cars in the final are very closely matched for heads up racing. If we ran perfectly every pass that would mean they'd need 16 cars running 8.XX, so highly unlikely.
Honestly, I could care less about making the field with the Black car. All we want to do is run fast and maybe get noticed doing it. That is our only goal each and every time we take one of our cars to the track. I could care less about winning an event all I care about is the ET/MPH.
I am going to say this before we even leave for this event. We have no excuses, no "what-if's" no "we could have's". Right now our car is in the best state it has been since we built it. We honestly have nothing else we can do at this minute in time, we have no excuses not to run well. We will either do well or we won't but when it's over we won't have an excuse because the car is as good as we can make it, right now.
Daniel is driving the black car, he is the ONLY driver for that car. He does all the work on it, I pay the bills, build the engines and tune it. It's our agreement, he drives.
We did get news last night that Trent and his father also made it into the show. Trent's dad has an old Vette that runs 9's. Trent is hoping to take my RS but it's Thursday and we haven't touched the car since the shootout, still have no idea what happened so it's doubtful. He may drive his own car, which could work out since it's a consistent 11.30 car on pump gas.
Trevor Jones got in with the Magnum, our old Time Attack car. Joe Gilk got in with his 4g63 powered Conquest too.
Should be some good 4g63 representation going on.
I'd love to see my RS out there, especially with the new stuff I've built for it. I am dead sure it will set a new record next time we take it.
So, stop out if you can. Saturday looks like rain but tomorrow it is suppose to be clear and HOT.

I am taking the video camera with us. I'll get some coverage of the races. We are all pretty excited here, not so much because it's Pinks, just because we feel the car is actually as ready as it can get for once in it's racing life.
The only fear we have now is the transfer case breaking, I think it's the last weak link on the car and we are working on that
