piece of advice from personal experience since i did this once last week, lol, KNOW THAT CATCH POINT BY HEART, i thought i did and i went a bit to far and rolled forward on the line, therefore redlighting myself and totally killing my run. not to mention let some kid in a camaro think he beat me. bad bad run. i was ticked.

my 2step is at 5900 rpm.
what i do is i use the handbrake, drive your car in 1 gear into stageing do NOT take it out of gear becouse if you will put it back into gear then u can brake something.. drive it in 1 gear into stage. Rev it up into 2step take the handbrake up and let the clutch slip a little, the handbrake is to prevent the car from moving, and soon as you let go let go of the handbrake and u will get a prefect start!

3k is a good way to keep your clutch from going out. Get an aftermarket clutch and flog it all day long.

3K does little more than just letting out the clutch and driving normally without revving.
