took the drag car to BOTI Vegas yesterday
Finally got the car all together and fired up, thanks to John Shepherd for finishing up my trans quickly. Here is the video of the run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUacfWZ4ohc
I was running Jake Montgomery, he ended up running 9.1 at 159 with 1.59 60 foot, I ran 10.2 at 160 with a 1.49 60 foot, so I'm sure I would have had my 8 second pass if I didn't miss 2nd gear. The track is slick up on the top end, as you see third gear got a little loose. I have another qualifying run tonight, and then off to eliminations, wish me luck please

thanks Chris next run is 5:30 tonight, there are some fast cars out there in my class, Kenny Tran is running 8.4's so I need to step it up! This was with low boost 41psi, and running very rich with conservative timing, we have some room left but traction is the key

looks a bit slippery in 3rd

Its a standard evo 8 trans with shep rebuild. I'm hoping to get a dogbox this season. That will make the car more consistent. Thanks everyone I'm at the track now getting ready for my last qualifying run. I will update the thread with results

nice, I'd like to see some footage from this event...wish they had some good stuff around here. The import scene is non existent here in Memphis. There's 675,000 people living here and only about 5 EVOs in the area and eleventy billion mustangs and camaros with nitrous and drag radials.
