He would have to drive exactly the same as me to get my times with his current power, but that's not likely.

If he can actually run a lot more boost on pump gas, then wouldn't he be doing it? I don't see him getting 100% efficient returns on raising boost that high on pump gas with just a 3076. I haven't seen anyone else do it, and 8 tenths is a huge amount to gain.

Even if he were to trap 124, that would not be near a 10.9.
His formula for a 10.9 is
33psi+c16 divided by nlts squared by a set of sticky sneakers.

low 11's on pump for sure. Time will tell.

PS.
I just tuned my own car at 506awhp (dynojet) on 93 pump. It's doable-- you just gotta believe baby!!!

Not really...you have to remember I am on street tires ..18 inch rims full weight SSL Evo on a stock ECU.

When I go AEM...and Q16...which I am...you'll see some better times promise. Then this turbo is coming off and a 35r is going on...pistons rods...dli...whoo hoo...

My goal right now is 11.5...which i think by bringing the two step up and throwing on some 17's i will hit no problem.

I can prob just hit it like this...I only made 4 passes on the car!!!!

Mellon, could you please confirm what boost you are running on pump 93 on your 35r set-up for this gentleman?

I run 30psi on 93 octane but that's with a 35R...the 3076's I've tuned don't respond as well to boost increased on 93 octane. I've had a few 3076 customers make the same 400awhp+ on 93 octane with boost ranging from 23psi to 30psi...I think the turbine side it just too small. However with improved octane 450+awhp is attainable with more boost.

Fyi,,, he's running an .82 a/r garrett t3 with an RNR tubular manni. The car put down 440awhp at 24psi on straight 93 pump.

3065 turbos have trapped 133-135 with the same turbine, so that's not the bottleneck.

Just my .02.

Junior said we can give 27-28 a try see if the car responds or knocks...

with the less timing it may only make another 10whp at the boost if so i won't even bother...

no doubt the supporting mods play a huge role, none of them thus far had the best cams/heads available.

There goes that deja vue again.

Read this thread. See what you get from it.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=340811

You already know about another car running 10's on pump, but we'll just keep you out of that thread for now so you don't get jumped again....lol

Your trap speeds are low. You are down in power. This time at the track was a great learning expierience for you, but now it's time for you to go back and strike with a nice pass. Stay on pump and kick some ***. It will make you feel good.

If it only makes another 10whp (dynojet) fire your tuner. Not starting a bashment here because I do like Jr., but facts are facts.

If your car with 520whp don't trap more then 123 fire your tuner too..
Freddy302 trapped 132mph with 540

The facts are that the turbo doesn't perform that great on pumpgas. As a well respected tuner stated, going up in boost doesn't mean it will make more power on pumpgas. I told Ron that adding boost may not increase much power due to timing being pulled for it on pumpgas. I used 10whp as an example. It would not be worth running another 4psi on pumpgas if it didn't make good gains.

This car also has another 2-3mph left in it with some driving.. So thats 121-122 on straight pumpgas, stock ecu and with 18s.. When I took Ron for a ride I showed him how you have to shift the car to have it stay in power. He also has a stock motor with just cams. Im not going to rev his car to 8500 on pumpgas just so he can go another .2 faster then the cars potential. In my eyes its not worth it. If he asked for a ***** to the walls tune.. The first step would have been race gas, and the 2nd would be taking off the heavy 18s.. he wanted a good reliable tune. He got it.

LOL those are all STOCK TURBO cars you are comparing yourself to!! But if I were to guess, I'd say there is plenty of room left for driver improvement as I know Junior does good work ad the car piked up pretty well on the back end.
