So I went to E-Town the other night with the new 3076r turbo set up.

I got 4 runs 1st run missed 2nd gear had a 1.7 60' to ( i took out my short shifter a few weeks ago..traded supercharged first time ever without one I blame that..lol )

Next two runs i bogged them..i think my 2step needs to come up . It is at 6188rpm now...but didn't have the laptop there. With my Junior Tune ( thanks jr ) I can get in to my map and do that....for my next time out..nice to know.

On my 4th and final run I got a decent launch and made my first 11sec pass in this car. I will post the slip up tomorrow.

mph 119.59

93oct 24psi on my 18's shifting at 8k ( no power shifting )

Evo9 ( Evo 8 4th gear )
Cosi M2's, Supertech Valve springs retainers
3076r .82 back housing RNR manifold

Just need to get a good launch to improve as it sits now, but then you need to run some real boost/fuel in that thing to show its potential. You got a 3076 so you could go much faster than the stock turbo right? Crank it up then!

Several stock turbos have beaten you on 93oct, but they don't trap higher.

It's like 'deja vue'.

Any of this sound familiar,,,lol ,,jk

Don't worry about a thing Ron. A little practice and some minor adjustments and this puppy will go 10.90's for sure. You heard it here first!!

Now sell me those rims!!!

he also needs to look at that 1/8mph figure. It's an easy fix;
a-pop your hood
b-locate the "boost knob"
c-turn it up
d-close hood ( make sure it's tight )
e-drive it like you stole it!!

Mellon, could you please confirm what boost you are running on pump 93 on your 35r set-up for this gentleman?

If by "minor adjustments," you mean race gas and big boost with a retune, then yeah. Not sure how much more boost he would want to run on pump gas, but definitely not enough to hit 10.90s. As it sits, he can do 11.5s for sure, though.

Nice run mate!!!

I have to finally find time from work and take my car to Junior and Jimmy to fix my sputtering issues (had sparkplugs that their gap had opened to 0.028) and hit the track again...

Def a low 1.7 60ft which is doable even with snow tires get you into the deep 11s for sure...

thats not the best idea....if he is not tuned for running 30+psi like mellon, than he should leave his ''boost knob''alone for the time being.

"Minor adjustments' means he could make the adjustments to his rom to compensate for more boost faster than you typed this reply.

Warr, you ran 11.50 at 115, his car has already gone 119 on 24psi. On your best pass if you trapped 119 what would your et have been? What will gamebred trap when the boost goes from 24-30 psi? Fair to say 124mph? Would you give him +5 mph with 5psi especially looking at the compressor map of this turbo?

This car can be easilly tuned for 28-29psi on pump. Boost trumps timing to make power when you are on a tubular manni and garrett hotside. Maybe Mellon will help me shed some more light on the topic, since I'm to lazy to use search and post a link to his step by step tuning strategy on 93 pump. (hint hint)

This car has so much more left in it. I'm really happy for him. It's the second week of July, you still have another few weeks to get this puppy ready for the shoot-out.

Thanks for yor concern, but his tuner already gave him a green light for a few more psi on pump.

The traps were off in the left lane (1/8th high & 1/4 low) that night - my traps are really 118+, but I hit my best ET by .01 in the left (hit 11.52 and 118+ in the right), so that's what is in my sig. He would have to drive exactly the same as me to get my times with his current power, but that's not likely.

If he can actually run a lot more boost on pump gas, then wouldn't he be doing it? I don't see him getting 100% efficient returns on raising boost that high on pump gas with just a 3076. I haven't seen anyone else do it, and 8 tenths is a huge amount to gain.

Even if he were to trap 124, that would not be near a 10.9.
