Remember where the car was when it was like that. Getting a cage right Steve? At NRG tech where you work. It didnt even have dash or carpet in it at the time. of course it's not like that now.

Car is 3178 (on the etown scales last night) with me I am like 290 lb.

PM him about it, but its pretty much a registered street car with plates and nothing cut off the body, panels or anything for that matter, complete with headliner, carpet, door panels, power windows that work in all four windows and everything. it is not a rattle box with body parts zip tied together

change the rims, put the rear seat in and remove the shute and 4 people can all cruise to the beach.... real fast

Nice job Sean! At your weight and only 920whp your car is running great. There are some other Evos at that weight that claim they made well over 1000whp and they are running slower E.T's and almost the same mph with your same setup.

Thanks for all the kind words.

I have to thank Martin and Eric 1 and 2 at AMS for all the help and the best products! Man the quality of the parts are amazing.

Harry at 3 speed for the amazing scattershields, safety first!

Jon at HKS for all the support, We use HKS Engine management on this car.

Full Blown for Kick *** dual pumper fuel systems and custom top for external pumps with stock tank.

My guys at my shop for the help getting it all together.

There are faster cars, and there will be even more. I draw the line on what I want an evo to be and it's a personal choice. I am not going to remove the wipers and put plastic windows in an evo, not interested (yet). I like to keep it almost fully streetable, bolt back in some stuff and go. Back in the day when there was sanctioned racing I admired teams like ESX who could run 8.9 on a full street subaru at 3200lb.

We ran the car before it ran 9.73@150 it was 3380 lb with me in it with the cage and parachute, that is almost 100lb in safety gear, maybe a little more. it is fully legal to run what it runs, we have no choice as the tracks here are serious about safety. 11.49 and they start giving you a hard time.

The car ran 9.73 before at 3380 lb, I am around 290lb.

Without adding any power or touching anything we ran 9.45@152.3 on the first pass. This is what was done.

AMS Carbon fiber roof panel, removed sunroof, head liner back in from NON sunroof car. About 52lb weight savings.
AMS Mustache bar, 13lb weight savings.
AMS front brakes for drag/autoX 4 pot calipers 28lb less than the brakes we had before.
Siebon carbon fiber trunklid 29-12 lb so 17 lb?
Put single race seat Sparco evo 2 saved 8 lb by the time we did the brackets.
Rear seats removed. 20lb?
And we ran a full MT slick on 15" wheels. 1.48 60ft first pass, they work wonders.

So that's it. If more weight can be removed without doing anything, at 2800lb with driver this car would easily go 8 sec. Too bad you have to start cutting and such to get there. I am thinking of doing the Carbon fiber doors next I like how they look!

To recap on the mod list:

AMS VSR intake Twin rails.
AMS Radiator.
AMS race FMIC
AMS inspired Engine setup, uses stock water pump.
Shearer t4 turbo kit. small gt42. Twin Scroll. Very fast spool.
HKS FCON VPRO controlling 2 sets of 1000cc injectors.
HKS AFK Wideband Air fuel and knock monitor.
HKS DLI with stock coils. Never a miss.
Iveytune 4" exhaust Custom.
Twin Bosch 044 Fuel pumps external, Full blown SPL fuel top for stock tank for use with external pumps.
3 Speed Scattershield.
Tilton Carbon Carbon Clutch.
Iveytune Trans built from new trans.
Stock 03 tcase with quaiffe front LSD.

If you drove the car it would go 9.2 at least right off the bat, are you coming to the east anytime soon?
