Moving up the stock turbo list. :)

I added a few new mods to the car after I broke a axles a few weeks ago, trying to get the stock cam record from RyuEvoIX

While the rear was apart putting the axle in I added the AMS trailing arm bushings.

As for power mods I added a AMS fmic and FP4r cams and the FP behive springs.

The cams don't seem to do alot up top, the stock turbo is just out of steam, but the midrange now in the car is a monster. Def picked up alot of tq.

Anyway I took the car to a import event a Edgewater raceway just inside Ohio. About two hours from my house.

I was not sure how the car was gonna launch and kinda timid about wheel hopping it again so the 1st pass was garbage. I play with the tire pressure and 2 step rpms untill I felt comfy to try to launch the car.

My first full pass in qualifying went like this.

60' =1.750
330'=4.766
1/8 = 7.282
mph=97.49
1000=9.449
1/4 =11.291
mph=121.81

First round a Eliminations I raced I got paired up with a good friend of mine in a pump gas, mild bolt on evo 9. She is a girl and very new to racing. She was pretty bummed that she had to race me as she was running high 12's @ 108-109ish. Later we got her down to a 12.6 @ 110. She was thrilled. Anyway I told her I would give her a headstart and see if I could come around her. I drove the car very soft and went 11.8, she got nervous and missed a gear so I still won and went to the next round.

In the next round I got paired up with a 1g with a 42r setup on it. The guys were just starting to sort the car out and have been running low 10's @ 148 all day. I knew they had me, but I knew i was way better on the lights as we where on a pro tree. So I might be able to make it a race, and BOY was I right. The closest finish I have ever had.

Here is the full slip of both me and the 1g, and the margine of victory. For the 1g btw.

Me 1g
RT=.159 ----- .715
60'=1.69 -----1.901
330'=4.702-- 5.043
1/8=7.242 ---7.297
mph=96.80---114.38
1000=9.423--9.140
1/4=11.289---10.721
mph=120.72---144.74

Margin of victory for the 1g. 0.0127 he FLEW by me right at the line. It was nuts to watch him frieght training on me the whole back half of the track, stupid stock turbo.

I am on the stock evo9 tranny and winding 4th gear out. On that last pass I hit the rev limiter ~100 feet before the line. The limiter is set at 8500. Should have raised that thing.

I also weight the car at the track. 3340 with me in it, and a little under 1/2 tank of fuel.

Sorry for typing a novel. It was a fun day.

Congrats House! 11.2s in that unit is hauling the mail!! That car is a freak.. and you know it's all because of our tuning trips to... SALEM!!!! Without "SALEM" the car would run ****ty im sure.

Damn mr. house the car is moving out!! How much boost are you making at the 8500rpm's lol??
Our cars are making similar power but you are killing my ET by almost 4/10's
I am within 1 mph at the 1/8th with you but after 330 you got me easy..What kind of boost control are you using (if any) and what kind of boost spike are you seeing??
Congrats again for making the most of your mods..
Also for comparison my car weighs 3365 with me in it with zero gas (heavy MR) I weigh 170

Thats guys. The car is on e85 for fuel. I love this stuff. Stock ignition.

Petey Turbo, I have the FP actuator on the stock turbo, and a very old school Hallman boost controller I had laying around from my old 1g. On the street from a slow 3rd gear roll (3krpm) it will spike 33psi, but at 7800 or so its already down to 21. By 8500 in 4th I am not sure what the boost is, but I bet its low. lol

I got a few things I want to try different, and I am gonna try to make it back to the track at least one more time this year.
