I still have the stock evo9 4th. I go thur the traps at 8500. I should have tried a few runs shifting to 5th but O well.

Your still better off sticking it out in 4th gear regardless. Shifting to 5th would add atleast another .140 to you total shifting time and would put you in about the same whp in the powerband in the lower rpms as you would be in the upper rpms.
