1/8th mile times
Went to the track last night and pulled a 8.138 @ 84.9 mph, 1.804 60'. When I was stock, my best time was a 8.626 @ 78.2 mph, 1.961 60'. I feel like I probably should have improved a little better. What do you guys think? Any tips anyone could give me?
I should mention that the track conditions seemed to suck pretty bad last night (mixed with the fact it was cold outside). I had trouble hooking up earlier in the night. Tire pressure was at 26 psi all around too.

Yeah, my 2 step is set to 6,000. On the rare occasion I launch on the street, I hook pretty well. I just think the track was prepped terribly or something because I was having a hard time at first hooking up. Like literally, one of the races I spun my tires all through 1st gear...and there is no way I should be doing that with the little amount of power I have.

If you're talking about Countyline then yes that track is prepped pretty badly. I spin first and second before really hooking and by that time your time is shot. Come out next Saturday for the bracket racing event they will be having. It's for money and prizes. See you there.

go to PBIR...**** 1/8 miles lol...and my best 1/8th is mid 7's i believe with a 1.73 60ft. Just keep working man, you will get it. I only owned the car a month when I went to the track a couple weeks back, and Im gettin it down. Plus PBIR is prepper pretty damn well.

haha countyline, I went yesterday too at around 10pm, traction sucked couldn't get better than 1.96 with my hp, still ran a 7.8 though so my car is pretty capable of a 7.6 pass or even 7.5

10 pm like was right about when I left there. I'm glad I wasn't like delusional or something. That track really does suck. And I really find it amusing how much fun that announcer pokes at me, yet I usually beat whoever is lined up next to me (that would include a Cobra last night).

what is your tire pressure set at? that is a nother reason why you might be spining to much out the hole. i think most people on street tires have their tire pressure at like 27psi in rear and 24psi in front. (don't quote me on this.) you would have to set your pressures to your liking. so play around with tire pressure but be careful don't want to break anything. good luck.
