11.83 @ 114.86mph!!! and Indy is still at the track. This was our first test of running the new Hoosiers at 30psi. The 60 was 1.69, a little quicker than his previous normal high 1.7s, but the tires are really showing the benefit down track with higher mph and lower et's. We've constantly stated that the car would go a low 11.8 and 11.83 is right there. We now know that 11.7's are right around the corner. Same everything on the car. MBC, Perrin airfilter and tune.

Logs looked really good. I added 1 degree of timing up top and we'll see how it likes it. Still, the timing is fairly low for what I normally shoot for. Jim got up on the 2 step when the tree started counting down, so he only built 9.3 lbs of boost before leaving. If he gets the boost to 12 or 13, I think we'll see an even better time. He said he also deep staged, so that affected his 60 and et too. Norm from Schumacher Racing is helping us at the track for our 'eyes' on what the tires are doing. Go Jim! Let's see an 11.7 before the nights over.

Car picked up to 115.34 mph, but track had tons of bite tonight. These tires are getting ton's of traction. We finally raised the 2 step to 7K, but I didn't have a chance to change the 2 step timing area, so launch boost was good, but timing retard due to knock was too much and the pulled timing resulted in MORE retard and the dog started chasing his tail. This particular tune likes to come up on 2 step a bit slower so the boost can build without knock. Fine line adjustments, but GREAT JOB INDY. You've put the car right on top of our projected times.

Thanks for that Scott. Indy's a man on a mission for sure. In all honesty, for Indy's car, we're having more low wheel speed problems than I expected. The lower torque of his stock motor is making it harder to get the tires to spin. I think we'll see much better numbers when the cars with 400-500 whp put them through the test. The last little timing tweak seems to have helped the mph just a bit. I think theres still a degree or two left that may help some.

Thanks for everything Tom the tune was spot on and the last timing adjustment was something I could feel going down track. We were pretty close to the .70's. If I can find the balance of tire and clutch I know were there. It's a good day when you worst full pass is a 11.93 and your throw away pass is a 12.11. Thanks again, Indy

Nice driving Indy! Tom, you're a mad scientist, lol. Great example of grass roots racing and a style of modding that should be a bible to racers. Often times less is more! One more mod and it's 11.50 or better.

Thanks Tony, but Bosco puts her paws on the floor, head against the glove box, and but in the seat .
I bet your itching to get back in the seat. I'm fitting the stuff to the billet intake and should ship it to your dad Monday or in "two weeks". Or I might hold it hostage untill I hit 11.50. Enclosed proof of life photo . Thanks again, Indy
