Thanks Tom. We are hoping to go back to the track in a week or so.

Keith, something (or a little birdie) tells me that you may have a very good year. I think we all lose track of how fast these Evos are really going.

I got my *** chewed out by the ORP starter because he thought I was part of Fathouse's crew. Sorry Jeremy, I had to tell him, "I don't even know the guy. I just wanted to get a closer look at his launch." Anyway, Jeremy, I wouldn't go back to ORP for a while. He didn't appreciate the 3 10 second runs without a rollbar and I got my tail chewed out.

Here are some examples of the same engine mods I used in my build in the for sale threads.

The way I see it a new or used MBC in the for sale threads goes for 40-60.00 and a new Perrin air filter kit goes for 71.99. If my math is correct the same engine mods I used can be had for 111.99-131.99 plus shipping.

I sure hope that birdie is correct. Brandon just went 9.0@163 on a test pass running about 10 psi less boost then we were running last year. The Orange car is getting its 4 season old clutch freshened this week. Then its back to the track for both cars.

For the engine mods done to Indy's car I am extremely impressed with the power you guys are pulling out of it. Great job guys!

I think part of the argument that got lost in here was the cost of the tune. I don't think anyone will disagree with that. You're not going to throw on a MBC and Air Filter and run 12's. You need a tune to go along with that which costs several hundred dollars.

Or like many members on this forum you do it yourself, or wait for 9sec9 to give it out.

Lack of reading on my part...

Again this is what was said from the OP-
"and in the end we proved for under 150.00 in mods" "Well enough to run low 12's possibly high 11's"

I'm not disputing what was done, just the fact that no one can duplicate it for 150... Thats it, nothing more, nothing less. You can try to make me out to be the bad guy or whatever. Bottom line is this....

MR suspension traded for used parts
Swift springs sponsored
Buschur filter Perrin filter 71.99
Hallman MBC 60.00 from the for sale boards
Custom tune free from a friend who just might give them away
Volk CE28's borrowed
BG Goodridge Drag Radial borrowed

DOES NOT equal 150 in mods..... Your right it's 131.99

Best of luck with the next stage. Regardless of cost it is coming along nicely and is showing great results
I thought I'd clarify a few issues. I seem to remember others loaning out their wheels and tires to run at the track, I believe it's pretty common. Thanks for your support, Indy

^ It just turned 30,000 miles and the clutch seems to be good. I think 9sec9 answered that in one of the two threads. I returned your PM.

Well if you borrow everything then it would be free and you could easily run 9's if you knew enough nice people. I thought you were doing a build process and going to help people find the most direct and cheapest route to great results documenting parts needed and cost. I guess I was wrong. Good luck with your budget build and borrowed parts...

And regardless, great times and great driving.

Anyone wanna lend me a Dog Box?
