Pure Stock 06 RS 12.86 w/only a 9sec9 tune.
9sec9 and I started our 09 spring/summer/fall project last weekend trimming out the car for a baseline in pure stock trim before moving on and adding parts. This RS is full weight as delivered with a 240lbs driver, roughly 8lbs for helmet, jacket, laptop, tire psi gauge, and logbook. The engine, clutch, and transmission along with the suspension is 100% OEM down to the factory cat and exhaust. Tires and wheels, MR BSS's with Kuhmo Ecsta ASX all season radials. The Spark Tech Non-CDI COP I tested came off to do see what the stock ignition would do, but will return once we hit the wall with the OEM stuff. I wish it was on as it really cleans things up. The only non factory item was a set of Buschur shifter bushings. The results were solid 12.86-7's on Shell 93 octane fuel. The best run data for last weekend was a 12.862@104.84, 60' 1.768, 330 5.274, 1/8 8.192, MPH 82.37, 1000' 10.722. Weather was 53.1 deg, 30.9 dew pt., 43% humidity, 30.06 baro, headwind @ 8.1, .020-30 RT's. 9sec9 thinks there is more in it and we will be working on it in the next few weeks to see what happens before we turn up the boost.

Thanks, but the credit goes to Tom. I just push pedals, flip levers, and set air psi when it goes to the track. Tom handles all of the tuning via ATT wireless. Last weekend I was cutting .020-30 RT's, this past Saturday was race 1 of ORP's VP Fuels Bracket Series. I had a -.031 red light first round. It was my first competition round in ten years and I still had fun and saw lots of the same people I used to run against back in the day. I can't wait to get back to the track for some more laps.

I had a hard time putting a solid run together all day (driving) and missed 4th on the best 60' for the day run. Depending on the weather I might head up to Muncie tonight.

Is Muncie Tonight? I thought you were racing this weekend? I thought about coming up with my trailer and lending some support to your effort.

No Muncie tonight the pits are underwater and it's cold, cold, cold. The IndyHP boys might go up Satuday, but it would be weather permitting. I'll call you in a bit.
