Ran a new best, How about a 10.45

Today we got a break in the rain so I decided to go to the track with some friends. Setup was the same as last time, and the same as I drive it on the street every day, expect a new shep trans with the evo 8 3rd and 4th gear in it. Now I do not have to shift to 5th.

First pass right off the street was a good pass, did not quite nail the launch and shifted 2nd slow, but ran it out anyway.

60'----------1.752
330'--------4.566
1/8---------6.91
mph--------105.46
1000-------8.891
1/4---------10.586
mph--------132.95

After that I let the car cool off and bit and took a little more air out of the tires. Went up to make another pass and got a better launch and a clean shift to second.

60'----------1.679
330'--------4.476
1/8---------6.790
mph--------105.44
1000-------8.780
1/4---------10.453
mph--------133.66

After that pass I just happend to be lucky enough to have Mr 9sec9 at the track helping Indy out. He looked at my logs and made a few mivec changes for me. Went to run again but just blew the tires off and smacked the rev limiter pretty good.

60'----------1.892
330'--------4.728
1/8---------7.058
mph--------104.99
1000-------9.059
1/4---------10.739
mph--------133.25

After that pass they asked me not to run anymore since I do not have a bar in the car. The tech guy was very cool though, very very cool for this track. I hope he is there more often.

It was awesome to watch you drive around those "race cars" on the back half . I bet they didn't expect to see that . I hope tomorrow is clear, I'm looking for an .00 or better now we know what to look for. See you in the afternoon.

Ya, stock engine/head/intake manni/tb. Its a standard 35r with a 5 bolt .63 exhaust housing. No hta or anything.

Last year the car was 3340 race weight, its prolly 20-30 pounds lighter now, but I have not scaled it yet.

Sick runs! What are your goals for the car? Low 10's or possibly high 9's?

Jeremy, those were awsome runs. I really enjoyed being there and being a part of your runs. If your 60' is similar to ours, the 1.89 would indicate that the last run could have possibly been in the low 10.3's or high 10.2's with your previous 1.67 60'. Either that, or I would never let 'ME' touch the tune, since you went SLOWER with my changes. Very nice runs again.
