11.97@118 FP Red Evo IX (video)
I went up to Mission Raceway (Canadia!) last night. From my trap speeds I know I have some things to work out... I'm trying to get some dyno time at the moment (Drift Office answer your phones!) My mods are in my signature.
I had the two step setup @ 7500 and got it to build boost off the line. Running 245/45/17 RE-01R's I only got three passes in. First run...bogged hard. 2nd run is posted below. 3rd run I had an excellent 60' (1.684) but got locked out of 2nd gear. Since I drove the wrong way into Canada I was too late to get more runs in.
I know I'm leaving time on the table on the 1-2 shift, but I can't fix that until I rebuild the gearbox (thanks previous owner!) The 60's are respectable, yet still could be improved upon. The traps is where I'm a bit befuddled... a bit low for my estimations... Time to hit up the dyno and get it sorted.
Timeslip breakdowns
60' 1.764
330 5.055
1/8 7.752
MPH 90.49
1000 10.055
1/4 11.970
MPH 118.14

No dyno numbers yet... I've been doing street pulls on Evoscan. I had an issue with some plugs that I put in... turns out they weren't 1 range colder... And I was running on a pump gas map since I was on a 50/50 mix of pump and 114. Oh, track weight was 3270 w/out me. (Full-tank of fuel) Needless to say I was "full-weight."
I'm thinking my stock 9 diverter valve is leaking. I semi-crushed it last week. DB suggests that I crush it until the nipple contacts the piece below it (another 2-3mm more in my case).
- I'm going to do a boost leak test first.
- Log three 2nd gear pulls in Evoscan and average the data with the current setup
- re-crush the dv and do another three 2nd gear pulls in Evoscan
- make a new IC pipe for my TiAL 50mm valve and do three 2nd gear pulls in Evoscan.
Then I'll compare all three and see if I can quantitatively see a difference in airflow, load, afr, etc. Hopefully the TiAL works best because then I won't have to reinstall any other parts lol.
Indy,
Do you have a full timeslip breakdown of your runs? My 1-2 shift will continue to kill my times, but I'd like to have something to compare to.
