You've gained 4mph based on your time in your sig?

The 4 mph gain was over Jim's mph on his best previous ET. His best MPH WAS 113.35, now it's 116.58. Following the first run of 12.008 @ 116.58, the Engineer and I sat down and reviewed the data. First of all, the 2 step was at ~6840. The tire psi was 28. The launch was soft with only 8.x psi of boost and the tires needed more. Very, very little spin and the result was only a 1.74 I b elieve, but a good first run. With the same settings on the mbc (never moved from last night) we observed the highest 2 byte loads we've seen. Could this be the tires working instead of spinning. It looks like it. At ORP the launches were consistent 310-315 loads. Tonight, we saw 327 immediately when the peak boost came in. A picture taken by the Hoosier Engineer showed no 'wrap' although the car was squatting well. Again 28 psi in the tires.

Now, as for the higher MPH, this was due to a couple of reasons. Track is probably 2 mph faster (I've been told) and the rolling resistence on the tire is less than the BFG. Previous tests by Hoosier has shown gains and losses in that dept and it appears as though we're seeing the benefits of the gains. The 2 lbs less tire weight is also allowing greater accelleration, so it's a complete package deal. 116.58 isn't too shabby for the mods. As for the ET, a solid 11.8 was at hand when the ugly nlts caused timing to be pulled. At this point, I have to say, Jim and I are worn slick by the time we got to the track. As I got back to the Hotel, we had driven 465 miles and been up for 21 hours. Jim's timing on the shifts was off and the ET's suffered. As for the tires, no question they HOOK UP! Who ever runs these will need some 2 step, boost and very little concern for track prep. I wish we had been able to launch them consistently at 13-14 psi, but Jim's legs were giving out on him at the line and he was having difficulty holding the car back. To help him a little, I changed the 2step timing by 1 degree and boost went back through the roof on the launch, with 21.9 psi showing by the time the wheel sensors showed any vehicle speed. It looks like it made about 18 psi in less time than it took to make 8 psi on the previous run. For those wanting more dimensions, the tires are 25.6" tall, 10" section width with contact patch about 8.375". Less tire pressure will yield a wider contact area. Hope that helps for the night. I'm getting some sleep.

Can you test them in your 9sec Evo?

We talked about that last night. Not too sure what the next step is, since Indy's really the one that got it all rolling. It's his call but testing them at the shootout on someones FP_RED would be ideal too.

I cut 1.60 one time and consistent 1.63-1.67 on my cheap General street tires w 14psi air on it.
My 2 step was 24-27psi. I hope you can test this with your 9sec Evo with higher 2step.

9sec9 is on his way to Norwalk with our R&D tires, Street this Evo will be testing them tomorrow. With running flat out over the last two weeks to finish 9sec9's car and get other projects done, I was run down by the last pass on Thursday night. We got up at 4:30 Friday morning and were running till 1:00A.M.. I passed on bone marrow treatment last week to get this testing done and I thought I'd be able to get through the weekend. Last night I was out of sync from the first pass, NLTS's without realizing I was doing it, and was not comfortable driving at all. After three passes we loaded up. We decided this morning instead of taking my car to Norwalk, we would test these on a higher horsepower car to keep things moving forward to getting these into production. I'm going to take a few days off to rest up before returning to the track next Thursday. If all goes well tomorrow we might give the green light for production next week. Thanks, Indy

I heard he went a 10.70 with the Nitto's, then ran a 10.20 first pass on the Hoosier's, and finished the day with around a 10.15 with seven consistent 1.6 60ft's. Since he has not driven the car since moving to Vegas I'd say he had a pretty good day. I'm sure 9sec9 will have the full rundown later.

We will be talking with the Hoosier engineer this week, but it's looking good at this point for a release date around the end of the month. As things get closer we will contact those on the list to confirm orders. Thanks, Indy
