projected 1/4 ET
i have a 2006 evo IX MR
buschur intake pipe
perrin intake filter
injen LICP
GReddy Ti-C 80mm TBE
Hallman RX pro
erkel tuned @ 24-25psi spike
ACT street disc w/ extreme pressure plate
Girodisc Stage 2 kit (lighter rotors, i think 2lbs lighter per rotor)
underhood shifter bushings
SS clutch lines
not really power mods
i'm very confident in my driving, im hate to sound cocky but im no slouch behind the wheel and im no stranger to drag racing, strip or street, and i have been to the strip with a FWD car, just not with my evo, so give me the benefit of the doubt that im not a punk n00b, and i have over 50 launches on my car on the street, 48 of which on stock clutch, 45 of those on stock power, and ALWAYS on 2step, and ive only bogged 3 times, once when i got the car, once when i was being lazy and didnt slip enough, and another once i did the upgrades, otherwise i shoot outta the hole hard nohomo and on occasion spin 1st and chirp 2nd, and i ALWAYS hear my mustache bar 1-2nd and 2-3rd, i also have maybe 400+ no-lift-shifts on the car so ive had my practice... so i think i can dial the car in after 3 passes
my best guesstimate is a 12.20-11.90 pressing 4th gear to 8k if i can get my 60ft under a 1.8
im on Falken ZX912's with maybe 3k miles on them, so they're new and grip hard, i plan on coming off of a 6K 2step, and i usually make about 8psi outta the hole, and the spare tire will be coming out, i wont be no-lift-shifting being the last 2 times i did it i pop'd my clutch C-clip, so i cant do it till i do a 5speed and twin disc, but i shift just as quick without NLTS...
is a 11.90 too much to ask for with seat time ??? or should i expect a 12.0-12.30 ???
right now at a local spot we have a marked 1/4 and im usually coming through the finish in the mid teens, like 114-115mph
not as accurate as the local strip but its something to help gauge the car
i will be running my evo at the evo-sti shootout at E-town in NJ in mid august so im hoping for the best...

post up your times when you go. im going to laugh at your if they arent as quick as you think. tons of people around here post stuff like this up and then find out how bad they are at driving. we dont know you. what makes you think we'd think any differently of you than some other guy posting this same thread.
it's definitely doable though. i did a a 12.1 @ 114 on stock turbo with a bad launch. before that i had a nickel sized hole in my ic pipe and did a 12.3 @ 110 with a good launch. 6spd 4th gear sucks.

sorry, but you wont even do a 12.1 unless you've got a mad aggressive tune and a mid 1.6 60'.
I did a 12.3 with a 1.67' in the same car, very similar mods. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...9-19-08-a.html
This area with an MR sucks. In my opinion, you need to hit 5th gear, and the shift is annoying.

It's possible....I did 12.2 @ 111 with a 1.7 60ft and 23psi. AFR's 10.7-10.9.
Mods:
Buschur air filter with stock intake piping
3in ETS DBE
3in Ebay Downpipe
EPM o2 dump
Exedy twin
stock intercooler and piping
Forge UNOS boost controller
This is in HOT San Antonio, Texas also. Well I've got a 9 GSR though. Let us know how you do!

interesting results tonight for allllll the haters and nonbelievers
not quite a trip to the track but its the next best thing... i borrowed a G-tech from erkel and did a quick 1/4 pass. they say the G-tech is accurate within .1 second on the ET give or take, and usually the trap reads high cuz it reads trap at the 1/4 mile mark and the track reads at 66ft from the finish... welllll... here are the results...
12.09 @ 117
its more like 12.1-12.2 @ 114 realistically and my 60ft is around a 1.6-1.7 spinning 1st gear... so i know my car is a deep low 12 car as it sits, with 11.90 potential... before i go to the Evo vs Sti shootout im going to change my plugs (still on factory OEM plugs, 24.5K miles old) and im going to turn up my boost another pound or two, and i might replace the seal on my rear diff as it is leaking very lightly, maybe a drop a day... so 11.90 is within grasp... and i think my driving is on point cuz for that run i didnt give it my all, keep in mind these runs are WITHOUT the NLTS... not bad if i say so myself

haha a g-teck doesnt tell u ****. if it feels a hard launch it'll say a real fast time like the one u got. a more realistic time would be a 12.5 @ around 110 mph. to do mid teen mph u have to have cams or an agressive tune on higher octane. gl anyways tho make sure u post ur time slip when u go
