Neonglh goes 11.90 @ 120.41 on a stock turbo
Big thanks to Emery and everyone at Street Tuned Motorsports for helping put together this car. It still has a bunch of stock parts on there, so I hope that we can see some much better ET and hopefully some more MPH this year.
The car is a 2003 Evo 8 that I picked up last year, and then built this year. Here is a shot from inside STM over the winter:
The main mods are:
Kelford cams
Supertech springs and titanium retainers
AEM EMS tuned by emery at STM
Evo 9 turbo on stock exhaust manifold
MAP downpipe
AMS wilwood front and rear lightweight brake kit
Evo Dave cf trunk
Buschur race fmic, piping, and intake pipe
Buschur Bushwacker tranny
Exedy triple clutch
We managed to pull out 356 awhp and 356 ft/lb on STM's mustang dyno using 100 octane pump gas.
The car still has a lot left in it. I will post up a video of my launches soon, but there is just so much tire spin in the beginning, I am pulling 1.988 60' times. On less power, I was cutting consistent 1.70's, so this is aggravating. I know the MPH will go up and the ET will go down with a better launch. I still have a lot of stock parts as well, such as the stock intake manifold, stock throttlebody, stock drive shaft, stock Evo 8 transmission gearing, etc...
The car has always run well. Exhaust and tune, without 3rd gear, I went 12.8 @ 107. Last time I went to the track with the stock motor mounts, I broke my front diff on the launch, cutting a 1.968 60', let out at the 1000', and still ran a 12.4 @ 115 mph. I put the car on the scale at the track, with a half tank of gas, and it was about 2960 lbs without me in it. I am going to have to confirm that the weight is accurate on another scale, but that is amazing if that is the case!
The car is currently 18th best ET and 7th best MPH for stock turbo in 2009, at the time of this post. I am going to bring it to the shootout next weekend, and see what we can do

nice car man. But you are alittle wrong in your theory because your mph will go down with your ET. Because if you spun alot then your trap is higher then it would be without wheel spin. Either way nice job though.

I had a run where I rolled out and got on it, no spin at all, with a 2.4 60', and still trapped 119.8.

You're right in theory, but it's different in some cases. I am a) not accelerating for an .4 seconds of my 60', and b) I am bogging 2nd gear hard when I nailed it too soon while spinning.
I had a run where I rolled out and got on it, no spin at all, with a 2.4 60', and still trapped 119.8.

Here is the video that Gleason @ STM made. You can see how I bog 2nd gear pretty bad
