Kouzman's FS635 EVO IX New Personal Record
Another day at the track yesterday at Island Dragway.
Weather was perfect for racing i believe but the track was TOO crowded! I guess because of Saturday's rainout...
MAde two passes only. First pass really banged the gears, since i thought a tranny oil change would fix my problem with the 3rd gear...
I was sooo wrong... erd never went in properly so after shifting 5th and then 3rd i managed a horrible 12.66 @ 118 with 75mph on the 1/8...
However i noticed that with even 24psi in the tires i was spinning too much so i decided to lower the 2step to 6100 i believe...
Second pass was 2 hours later...
The car took off perfectly considering the 3350 lbs weight with driver and snow tires. I reaaaally eased 3rd gear, however the car did the following:
rt 0.864
60ft 1.703
330ft 4.816
1/8 7.416
mph 100.400
1000ft 9.607
1/4 11.368
mph 132.08
I was extatic, especially after looking my AEM log. I went off the thottle for my 2nd to 3rd gear change for 0.68 secs, when my average shifting is 0.35 secs. I dont use no-lift-shifting yet so thats even better!
Here's the timeslip
and here's the video from out and incar...
11.36@132
Some various statistics:
- stock unported head
- stock intake manifold
- stock throttle body
- THE SHOP built 2.0 motor
- BUschur Racing FS635 and various Buschur Racing parts
- Gulf 93 octane 1/4 tank
- Weight with driver around 3350 lbs ( with almost 1/2 i am 3400)
- Messed up 3rd...
10 secs on pump is just around the corner, dont you think?

I am not shiftig into 5th until i finish my pass...
I have a built tranny (needs rebuilt again i guess) with the taller 3rd and 4th gear and a 9000 rpm rev limiter... I am good for almost 140 mph with the 235/45-17 that i run...
Great run yourself man!!!

Junior insists that the car has another 2mph just from driving! and i believe him!
My average shift is 0.3-0.4 sec and i dont use No-lift-shift yet, so on the 11.36 pass i had at least 0.3-0.4 "penalty" from the slow shift into 3rd...
And the biggest problem is that if you stay so long of throttle with this size turbos, it takes a while to go to full boost again...
At least now i know where my car stands in terms of power and performance...
