I hope it is ok if I post my time here without making a new thread.

Went to Sacramento raceway on Saturday and my best 60ft was 1.61 on the Hoosier DR. Though my car wasnt getting enough boost/fuel at the launch, that is another issue itself. I plan on going again and I am still learning to get my launch technique better and better.

These tires hook really good. Well worth the money!

If your still on E85, it doesn't do too well in the winter time.

Good job positron, im about to get a set of Hoosier DR's too...I really wanna cut 1.5's on them, I think playing a little with the Tephra Launch Maps will get you the boost you need to get off the hole harder.

I am still on V5 rom. I hope my tuner will switch over to V7 when I get a retune maybe next month.

The 1.61 was my personal best even though I only gone to the drag stips on 4 occasions. This was also the first time using the Hoosiers drag radials. I believe I can cut a 1.5 with them next time around. Once I get my tune corrected and next drag trip, I will post back. Thanks guys.

9sec9.com

I am hoping to get some in the next couple weeks. Just emailed them myself to see if they have some in stock or when they will have another run!

By the way not sure if you guys happened to have seen my post in the other thread for the STM (NZ) Evo but they posted a pic of their other projects and it showed one running the Hoosier's and they said they were cutting 1.4x's with them before they switched to MT's.

Why the hell would they even need to switch to M/T? Trying to go 1.2 - 1.3 for a 60'???

I would assume so........either that or for consistancy sake......also having a larger even softer sidewall wouldn't hurt

Keith
sure do Keith!

I didn't want to bring up that drama as i know the Buschur guys are pushing the MT DR's.

Honestly i really liked the MT DR's when i ran them on my Cobra (275/40/17) but just too bad they don't have something to fit on the stock Evo wheels

But just to poke a little fun didn't someone say they would eat their shoe or something like that if they did go in the 1.4's (No harm meant by this just trying to keep things "light")

yeah the STM guys definitely served up some nicely prepared shoes for some people to eat.

Never say never. Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.

Im not trying to bash but Im still not convinced on these tires. I'll wait to spend $1000 on slicks until they start posting good times over the board not just one car or two.
