Seriously
Glad you found out what the bug was and got your mph back!
It seems we have very similar mods/hp/et/mph
I would hope to see more mph out of that turbo as i was doing that on the reg non-hta 35r w/ the small .63 housing and that's why i made the move to the slightly bigger 6262
Then again you're only at 38 psi and that's about where my old 35r lost it's breathe so i'm interested to see what 40+ does......

Sorry it took so long to respond... been tied up.
Soooooooo,,,
Average Joe's car is back on bar with what we expected vs the boost being ran. 142.93 is about right for 37-38psi @ 3100lbs.
The car launches smooth and easy, and Ricky, the driver/builder, is pleased with it so far. This trip out showed that the car was streetable enough to make the 260mile round trip, pull 140+ traps, then drive home. Still soft launching the car, he pulled a 1.59 60ft, which is all anyone could wish for rolling through the water-box and racing with a car that's driving home.....
On a side note, we decided to bring along Average Joe's "little brother", another evo 8 with an almost identical combo, but running on pumpgas at wastegate boost. ( no boost controller installed). Street tires, full weight (3500lbs easy), basically the same combos that go out of Top Level's doors every month.
Atco's trip to the import vs domestics showdown was a blast. I saw a few of you out there and was hoping to have a chance to shake a few more hands. Next time out should be great.
Looking to upgrade to larger injectors, up the boost, and bring the trailer so that there's no hesitation.
I took the time to throw together a slideshow... Please enjoy!

You are so right!! Also looking to give q-16 a shot vs c-16.
45psi should give us the 150+ traps that we are looking for on the next time out!!
There's so much left on the table with this combo, but currently we are looking to see what she can do at this stage.
Here's what's on "Average Joe's" wish list...
Cop ignition
Ported head
1600's
VP import
AWD Motorsports driveshaft
Weldon pump
Some weight loss
In the meantime, we'll let the driver give it some hell at the next track outing and gun for single digits!
