The DR's look nice. I drove quite a bit on the Hoosier QTP's last year, and while they are DOT, they suck on the road. It's like driving on balloons. Definitely not the safest for any long trip whatsoever.

They do look sick as hell though:

Also contrary to what people may think, Evo's hate to go to the track on street tires, drivetrain parts get weaker or break because they are not made for that, you either bog or spin too much, as opposed to a good DR.
you are right but my car is on a stock motor/clutch /suspension full weigh plus some im 300+lbs with stock 9 gearing street tires witch makes a big difference i should be at 8200+ going pass the traps my revlimiter is set at 8000 so im not even going past the traps ***** out if i put his tires on my car it would cut 3 tens easy with my driving and yes trap less too thats telling you something almost same et with 6 less mph traps hmmmmm its all good man you will see my sig with a 10 on there and not no 10.90 nether

your 60's are irrelevant...a 1.5 on street tires with 430whp is not the same as a 1.5 on hoosiers with 600whp...

all you guys talking about 60's on regular street tires running 12s and 11's go blaaaaaaaaah...

talk to me when you are making power then go try to cut a 1.5 on your all seasons...

unreal if i hear this again im going to puke...

Excellent point my friend!

LAunching a 600awhp is a *****, especially on street tires or any tires IMO!

i bought Nitto 555R DR's and im a little nervous to run them as i here they wheel hop like a ****.

i bought these right before these tires came out. but i also do not see enough feedback on these tires either.

I could barely cut a 1.7 with them. They were terrible. I ended up going back to a normal tire.

Nitto 555R DR are FAIL. I had really bad wheel hop and it F'ed up my T-case. Had Shep rebuild for me. No probs so far knock on wood.

QTP you can only get them in a 16's. Last I checked. So getting the Hoosers of our 17's is good to do so we don't have to spend more money on getting 16 rims. Just on tires.
