26x9.5-16 Hoosier QTP question

Im on Tein S-tech springs and I was wondering if Id have to throw the stock springs back on to fit the tires properly so they dont rub? Im planning on eventually picking up a set of these for my car with the 16" RX7 wheels that clear the stock calipers.

It's right on for width compared to the oem 235's. However, about a half inch taller than the tallest tire we show to fit. With springs you may need a fender roll to gain proper clearance.

Hmm, so what about rubbing the splash guards though in the wheel well? Im concerned about them rubbing when I turn. Granted Im obviously not going to be whipping turns if I drive to a car meet or so with them on lol, but Im still curious about that part.

And Neal do you guys sell the 26x9.5-16 QTP's?

I've run 26" Hoosiers on 15" wheels and Tein S-techs on the stock shocks and only slightly rub the front wheel liners at full lock.

i doubt you will have issues... 26" tall is 26" tall. If anything its the offset of the rx7 wheels that will determine any issues. And from what i've seen in person, those rx7 wheels sit in pretty ok.

Ok cool! And what about the Hoosier 245/45-17 drag radials? Can you guys get those too?? Im still deciding exactly what setup I wanna go with, the above mentioned one vs some stock wheels with the DR setup.

The one thing Im concerned about with the drag radials is that things will start snapping since theres such little/no sidewall flex compared to say the QTP's. It seems like everyone has had relatively excellent results thus far though with the Hoosier DR's and no one has mentioned anything about breaking any drivetrain components. Obviously a poor launch is what contributes to breaking drivetrain components (I.E., dropping the clutch, which I know not to do and I do not do when launching)

Has anyone heard any stories?
