Mikey's FP Black street tires 10.6@136

Well I finally made it to the track! Full weight and street tires...

Attachment 339284

Car was spinning pretty bad 1st-3rd. My 18x8 wheel with 225/45 tires were killing me. I should be getting new wheel and tires soon and be back to the track. I'm happy with what it did considering it was spinning a great deal.

Car was around 650hp/565tq on this run.

Mikey

Dude, way to back your numbers up with a track pass!

With 650HP and better track prep, you should be good for 9's!

Thanks dude. Well I think I'm getting the Rota Grid 18x9.5s with 265s and more than likely toyo R888 or Nitto NT05s

I could prob hit 9s with slicks but won't get to deep in a full weight car.

Yea getting that 60ft down a few tenths, eliminating the tire spin and probably quickening up the shifts will get you excitingly close to a 9 or into for sure. What rpm did you cross the traps at, do you remember?

You mean under-kill, heh. The smaller wheel with TONS of tire sidewall the better!

That's why we run the 15" wheel with 26" slicks

Nice run. although it didn't sound like you spun through 3rd gear Maybe some in 1st. But didn't sound like the RPM's were going to nuts in 2nd or 3rd.

136mph trap is moving for sure. I would say there is another 2mph just from shifting. Sounded like you really took it easy on her.

If you are going to continue to run on your 18's you should look at the Mickey Thompson ET street drag radials. I have them on my car and love them!! 245/40/18. Car went from Nitto NT05's to these and it went from FWD style wheel spin 1st-2nd gear to completely 100% dead hook from a 1st gear roll on the street. They don't break loose on me at all from roll outs like it did before with the NItto's. Now on a launch I can get them to spin, but hardly hit the rev limiter on a unprepped track.

Congrats on the run man! As others said above, better tires should bring 9's.
