Another track visit = MANY new personal bests for me!
Well this past Friday night I took my Buschur Racing powered FP Black IX back out to the track to see if I could better the 9.93 ET I ran a couple of weeks ago. If you have been following my threads you would have read that the 9.93 was done on a 100% stock ignition. We knew that this would greatly hinder the performance but ran the car anyway as time is running out this year. I now am running a Buschur Racing coil on plug ignition and was pumped to get the car back out as I knew it should greatly help. And it did!!
I made a total of 5 passes ranging from 9.91 to 9.79. I am very pleased with how the car was running and was bang on all night with my shifts. We worked with the suspension and sixtys and ET's got better and better each pass. Me being in a rush forgot to order a new set of spark plugs. The last track outing more or less fouled them out from running the stock ignition. My last and best 60 ft pass was hindered by a slight missfire between shifts.
Pass 4 of the night ended up being my best ET and MPH ever:
60 ft- 1.4220
330 ft - 4.1374
1/8 ET - 6.3604
1/8 MPH - 108.69
1000 ft - 8.2020
1/4 ET - 9.7904
1/4 MPH - 145.26

Pass 5 I made a little suspension tweak and busted out the best 60 ft ever:
60 ft- 1.3727
330 ft - 4.0910
1/8 ET - 6.3386
1/8 MPH - 106.65
1000 ft - 8.2042
1/4 ET - 9.8047
1/4 MPH - 143.91

I know there is more left in this setup. I wish my last pass of the night could have been a clean run. I bet the car would have gone a low 9.7...maybe a 9.6.
Time is running out here in Ohio and winter is coming up fast. With my VERY busy work schedule it might be hard to make it back out again. I am going to do my best to do so!!! Maybe next time I'll bring a fresh set of spark plugs and not be in such a rush lol. I have a few parts on order that I know will help as well.
As always thank you very much to my sponsors as you all help make this happen. Buschur Racing, Forced Performance, and Bushwacker Transmissions...Thank you!!

26 x 7 x 17 Mickey Thompson Slicks on OEM 8 rims and Apexi N1's. Stock swaybars, rear end supports, driveshaft, and front rotors. N1's spring rates are exactly as they came out of the box. Spring pre-load and adjustments took time and quite a few launches to get perfect.
The car weighs about 3000 lbs with me in it. Aside from the slicks it is still a street car and I drive it around for fun on the weekends normally on my 18 x 8.5 Enkei RFP1's and Mickey Thompson 245/45/18 drag radials.
