Hoosier Drag Radials

Hi maybe someone can be so kind to help me , I have a Evo 9 and I have the 245 R17 hoosiers, I use 24 psi tire pressure, but if I go over the vht I get wheel hop , so I go on the side were there is only concrete with no rubber on the starting line because Im afraid of breaking something. My 60 ft is 1.70 and the car goes 10.7 @ 134 mph car weights 3370 with me.
Should I put less tire pressure and go over the rubber with track bite?

I use 20 psi and u want to launch hard. Spinning them is ALL ways better than wheel hop. My car made 450wtrq and my average was in the high 1.5's with them with a best of 1.52. good luck man

I ran less than 20 psi. Depending on track temp. I've ran all the way down to 12 psi just to get decent traction. Best of 1.52 or 1.55 I think.

Just remember. The lower in tire pressure you go. the more chance for breakage and wheel hop. There is fine line between spinning and hooking up just right. Start at 20 and let more out each pass. Every driver leaves the hole different also

If you don't have trailing arm bushings you may want to get some. It will help control wheel hop.
