Completely stock longblock, stock turbo 10.71@125

Finally found a decent video of my best run.
Car put out 388whp and 413 tq just the day before tuned on 72% ethanol(cold weather blend)
I put it on the Dyno to test if the stock intercooler could use an upgrade. I would have been happy with 5hp increase from an upgrade intercooler but it never happened. Swapped from stock to an upgrade one back to stock with the same exact graph. I just couldn't run a heavier intercooler just for looks.
Prior to this track day I always had the full interior. This time I took all the seats out and used a race seat, removed front strut bar, a/c condenser fan, one of the 2 horns, front bumper support, washer fluid reservoir, and swapped rotors with lighter 2 piece all around. I inflated the 17"DR to 30 psi to get on the trailer and ended up leaving them at 30 psi during all the runs.

Stock unopened longblock, stock unported intake and exhaust manifolds, stock throttle body with upgrade seals, stock intercooler, stock cams, stock unported turbo. Stock ecu, stock maf.

Drivetrain- I did the rear LSD mod and swapped the Evo 9 4th gear set with a set from Evo 8, twin exedy HD clutch.
I will weigh the car and post that too.

Definitely impressive for how many stock parts are on the car. What was the "upgraded" FMIC? You know what the car weighs now, with or without you?

It was the old AMS or maybe a Copy of it. I think the stock turbo just didn't produce enough heat to benefit from it.

You're a beast, Ron. Going to go run now and hopefully lose some weight.

Haha. You guys are awesome. I wish we had more fast Evos around here.
I went with a few from town and I ended up driving 3 out of 4 Evos. One was doing 13.1@113. I managed to get 12.1 @ 113 with that car. Hitting rev limit on 2 gears being a 6 speed I wasn't used to. The other was an 04 RS, stock IX turbo with 350whp. Owner was doing 12.3 before I drove it. I ran a 11.6 with one pass. I told him I can get that car in the 10s with a few changes.

It's all in the 1/8 mile for me.

Thanks for the comments. The way it's going this year, looks like I'll be 3rd or 4th before the year ends for stock turbo cars.

your 1-2 is unreal LOL.. i thought my 4.6 330ft was fast pfttttt. im not pulling the turbo off till the car goes 10.99. with the VIII 4th i hope to pick up a couple mph and lighten the car up a bit, it went almost 121 with EVERYTHING in the car still, both beams and all seats

oh and ron, when you went 10.9x what was your 1/8 ET?

just trying to get a feel for what i need to do to in the 1/8th to go 10.99 because i can only get 1-2 full passes at the track before i get kicked out so i can only practice the 1/8th LOL

It was a 6.9 at 101mph. That was the same 1/8 on my 10.88 I think or very close to it.

Not sure on the exact weight.
I think the bumper beams are 17lbs each. Both are gone
Front seats are 37lbs each, about 30 for the rears. All removed and used my race seat about 17lbs.
Mini battery, stock intercooler(yes this saves a lot of weight) with my own testing, upgrade just weighs the car down. Removed a/c fan, really not needed. Removed strut bar and chassis bars underneath. Removed washer reservoir. Swap rotors with ultra lite 2 piece giro disc rotors.
It can really lose a lot more. My last RS had more light weight mods than this car.

What tires and what are you launching at? Not trying to get all your secrets though... just nice to see what the car is capable of with a capable driver.
