Didn't like my 1/4 mile times...

can anyone give any info on why my car run 13.0 in the 1/4? i have called around and got alot of different thoughts. just looking for some ideas. one idea is that the reflash is tuned for 91 octane but i race with 100 octane, should the tuning be retune? are my injectors maxed? i have a s-afc in the mail, hope that helps. thanks for any input.

13.01
105.3 mph
1.82 60-foot

launched at 4600rpms
shifter around 7200rpms
23psi
100 octane

Post your time slip. What was the weather, if anything the track could be real crappy, or your 0-60 ft. times need to improve. Try and get them in the 1.7 second range and work your way lower. (Also, I forget at what rpms the boost begins to taper, but you should shift around 7k i think)

Also removing extra junk from your car like spare tire, jack, and carpets might be an idea to try out next time.

Don't get frustrated, it takes some of us 20-30+ runs to get that 60 ft. time lower. Just work on it and if it doesn't work add some naws.

Don't waste your money on 100 octane your not tuned for it.

When at the track and using 100 octane I use my afc to pull some more fuel out . Talk to AL about how much to take out with the afc and your tune . Also HOW do you run 23 psi to redline ? did the cam help out with that ? Hell my car peaks @24-25 then goes to 20 @redline .

I 100% guarantee you that your Dynoflash is holding at least 50 HP from you. Get a different tuner. I am not kidding, man. I had the Dynoflash and I gained over 50 HP with a new flash from TurboTrix. I promise you won't be sorry. Also, you can pick up 2 tenths in the 1/4 with a 1.75 or lower 60'.

I only have a turboback, MBC, and intake and I run faster than that. I even have more MPH than you (108) which is a true indicator that you are down on power. Get a new flash!

More information about the run wouldn't hurt, but there is something wrong, I mean could even be a quick fix, but 105MPH trap speed is way low for your mods. Get your car checked out.

Do you feel if timing is bieng pulled at 23 psi?

Even if you did a 2.0 60ft, you should still trap atleast 108 with your mods.

Try lowering your boost. You might be heat soaking your intercooler at 23 psi.

Have someone else you know is a god driver make a few runs and see what your car does then. You should be trapping a lot higher than that. On a good run though a 105 mph trap should be 12.8-12.9.

Those are times I see out here with similar set-up. FWIW You need to lean out the Dynoflash a lil on 100 oct.You are probably running way to rich to get optimal results from the gas.Call Al for assistance or one of the other Dynoflash boys that know approximate settings on an AFC for your level of mods. I don't have this problem because I have two different maps. One for 91 oct and one for 100 oct. Also pm g20 on this forum he has the same set-up as you and he is also stuck in the 13s. Maybe he finally took my real advice that i refuse to post due to the fact that it is flamable.

IE,
I'm still undecide between UTech & Xede. But I found that the main reason that I was unable to get into the 12 last time was the 2nd & 4th gear grind that I keep missing shifts into. I got like 13.1 with real bad 4th gear missed-shift that I lost all the boost, otherwise I beleive I can be at least 12.999999999. The dealer will take a look at it for me, they drove it and think there's problem.
I've been really busy with my job that I didn't pay attention to my Evo enough recently, but I'll have to take care of it before it's times for the track and drag coming this month.

G20, How many Utec Evos you seen in the area running low 12s. FWIW The exedes has evolved more than the utec and right now is the way to go. Utec has all the potential but waiting for updates is a biaatch. You have seen empiracal evidence at the track why hesitate any longer. FWIW I ran 12.4 at 110mph at C-bad with the same syncro crap.Replaced under warranty and the times got a lil better but why set your goals so low at 12.9? Get the Exedes tuned by Shiv and get deep into the 12s. Your bad runs with misshifts will be 12.8s.OUT!
