will doing 180s really mess up your rims? me and my friends do them in rainy parking lots all the time and none of us have ever messed up a rim, i don't see how this could mess up a rim, people drift in rear and all wheel drive cars and i've never heard of this messing up a rim.

Wet parking lots.....
Dry asphalt...
What you don't want to do is have the edge of your rim dip into the pavement.....
I personally have warped the stock rims on my tubrbo supra from doing a drift at 45mph...Both on the right side were warped so bad that I could not get them balanced....
Any other comments on this ?

Totally.....
Low Pros on your wheels has a lot to do with drift...
When you try to drift running "taller" tires, you have a better chance at screwing up your tire walls and your rims....Kind folds under. I have seen a tire pop off of the rim when some kids were doing 180's in the mall parking lot.... LMAO... It was friggin halarious....

One point, as the EVO is four wheel drive and cars earlier than the VIII have a center LSD, then the car will try to fight you when you pull the handbrake. As you try to lock the rears the LSD will sense the difference in speed and begin to lockup, transferring more torque to the rears.
Not sure if this will cause any long term harm to an EVO as I suppose the center diff is just doing what its supposed to. The E VII ACD automatically unlocks when the handbrake is applied which would be usefull.
