Evo 8 road course prep
This weekend I'll be driving a road course at Putnam Park. The Evo is completely stock. Are there any little preperations I should do before hand?
I'm removing the spare and jack before hand.
Checking lug nut torque to be at spec.
Checking tire pressures for spec unless otherwise recommended.
Doing oil change Friday.

Well I think I did pretty well for my first time out on a real track. I did everything listed above plus a little more. I started to play with tire pressures. I'm by no means a good or experienced driver, just a begginer who had his first time on a track and this is what I noticed. On the stock Advans, they seemed to work the best at around 39-40 psi HOT. For me that was 35psi COLD. I kept it even all the way around.

Did you make sure the care was alignmed prior to the event? I hope so. I've heard of many pretty poorly aligned cars rolling off the showroom floor and alignment issues have been the biggest slowdown for many of the evos I've driven/ridden in.
