With this car - I wa snot trying to win any whp wars - just make a smooth curve and even out the power band

The tune that was in there was very good - just a bit of knock up top

I was able to get it spooling faster with a bit of tweaking

Main thing is that it is now running as stock on idle, driveability and start up which was the customer's main issues

Reaffirms my thoughts with aftermarket turbo upgrades.... you MUST have all supporting mods to make power from an aftermarket turbo. For example, cams are a must and I would even go with an AEM EMS if you wanted more power, but then you may have to sacrifice some driveability. Also, think about water injection. Just save a little more money and those numbers will come up.

Can you guess who hit the gas earlier? (hint: look at the start point for both curves......... )

And I suppose both pulls were under identical heat soak conditions.........

You go Al!

I don't know if it really matters, but from a cost standpoint it looks like he spent alot of money for not alot of results...340 is not really that impressive of a number for an aftermarket turbo, Im curious to see why he choose his route.

True - its not much help without the cams and other usual mods

Nice job cleaning up the top end. There are even a few additional pound feet of torque down low. Can't really quantify the improvements between the two in the range below 4750 RPMs due to the different start points for each run which makes the two graphs useless for comparison purposes below that point.

A true A-B comparison would have required that the start button be pushed at the same RPM point for both runs. The results would not have been visually as dramatic (see attachment), but at least the graphs would be a representative comparison throughout the power band.

No matter who is doing the tuning on this particular car, it's still struggling to make power considering the mods that have been installed.

The point was not to make more power or bash any tuner but rather to improve driveability and eliminate his cel code issues. To that extent the problem is fixed.

I was not expecting to make any more power than a great tuner like shiv - that is not realistic - obviously the set up was already almost at max whp. My goal was to smooth it out and fine tune it.

I will let the customer speak about how well I accomplished this

Nice job. Although street tuning is awesome it would be nice to have a chart like this for my car also . Wish I live closer to Pruven. Not sure if there's any pocket logger which shows something similar that is portable and can be use durng street tuning, before and after comparison.

Please, PLEASE go back to your Vishnu forum. I'm sick of reading this BS. You have your own thread on this topic, use it.
