Will you be working out of a dealership or servicecenter for any miscellaneous parts/service/reference needs while you're here?

Thanks.

Al, I am definitly interested, but I don't think my tune counts. I am an 03 Evo custom tuned by you, traded for an 05. You mentioned earlier that you would custom tune the 05, no charge. Very appreciated. I am willing to wait for a tune in Peoria, Chicago, St. Louis, or I amy drive to Buschur when you are there. (I would pay for Dyno time, of course.)

No AWD dyno in Peoria, would have to go to Chicago for that - these are all street tunes I have to assume, if done in Peoria.

Kazz, you are correct. I was referring to if I drove to Buschur to meet Al. To bad we couldn't convince RJ's, I think that is the name, to get a AWD!!

I would need a MBC and would also like a 255 lph fuel pump, but I might be willing to get my car tuned once that happens. Mods are in sig.

How are you going to correctly determine MBT without viewing torque on a dyno in real time?

Not trying to call you out here, but if you've got a trick to hit ignition timing by tuning on the street I'd appreciate it you would share it. Feel free to PM me as well. Thanks.

After tuning over 2,000 evos in just about every concievable state of tune you can imagine, I can tune 90% of evos by writing a base ignitiion timing map off the top of my head so close that adding one degree of timing will in most cases not have any effect on the dyno. This is how I am able to send out so many through the mail or base flash tunes without any dyno tuning at all.

My custom tuning sesssions are nowabout adjusting my previously refined calibrations to work well on a particuklar car. I have a huge library of base timing maps which have shown to work well on the dyno, track and road.

I have already spend more time on the dyno tuning evos than prob anyone else in the usa and that is how i created many of the base maps in the first instance. Once you have a good timing map, adjust it to an individual car is a simple matter which can be easily done by a experienced tuner on the road or track just as effectively as on a dyno.

BTW - with the data logger the G force meter is just as accurate and has even greater resolution than a dyno jet for measuring tq.

Just so you know - for my own personal car, I would never conisder to tune it on a dyno. For my car I use the dyno to measure the effect of various mods.

I dont drive my car on a dyno - I drive it on tracks and the road so that is why I tune it on the road.

Incidentally - I dont think Shep's 7 second talon has ever been on a dyno either. I wonder how Jason Seibles is able to tune it to make so much power without measuring the MBT on a dyno ? (Acutally I know the answer, I was just being a jack ***).
