I think has really taken a huge step forward in turbo design

interesting you said this. ive been trying to decide between the evo9-20g and 3076r. mostly looking for a drag/roll races application on pump and alky. i cant wait until you get your hands on one, i am really looking forward to a custom tune from you.

btw, i started a sign up list for a custom tune in Denver. we have quite a few people interested and will try to decide on a date sometime early next year. we just have one question, are you willing to do aem tuning? there are atleast 2 guys that would be interested in this.

wow, nice numbers, i'd wonder what it'd run on normal street gas though, with the added margin for error (normal driving)

I'm debating on going, i'll either be in a blue rsx, or an 05 Silver MR.

Yeah, most likely I'll show up, but I'm not certain about Moroso. Glad to meet other Evo owners locally.

I wanted to add another note here

I want to highlight the new ECU which has many advances over the old ecu

Greater resolution - more ignition maps - better knock control - MIVEC

The new ecu is a totatly new platform and an obvious step up in ecu control over the previous unit whcih was in many ways very similar to the old 2nd gen dsm ecu

Shiv is reporting 272 whp on his moon dyno with 91 octane and his reflash

I made 289 whp on 91 octane on a mustang dyno on a stock evo this weekend and 300 whp on a evo with some mods still on 91 octane

The power is there on pump gas also

Here is 91 octane IX - injen intake and 3" exhuast - 20 psi tapering to 17 at red line

Wouldn't a GT30R wipe the floor with that 9 turbo?

So I take it that your prying & peeping into the IX ECU from AZ has stirred up some sick ideas from your head for tuning?

Sounds freakin sweet...I wanna have my IX ready for your next visit. Should I avoid upgrading to the 255 fuel pump and just go ahead wth the MBC+gauge?

I know you swear by the Forge MBC, but I'd really like the convenience of the Hallman Evolution RX Boost Controller Kit. Will you be able to tune comfortably with it on? Oh yea, when you coming back to AZ? I've told a few people of the numbers you achieved with the black IX, I've got some interested people waiting.

I'm wondering what gains we could expect switching from the td05 on the viii to the turbo on the 9. Would this be a direct swap?

I think I'll start searching now =p
