Case Study - # 142 Live from the Dyno with Warrtalon

We are testing the new ported and coated parts of Buschur Racing at the Ultimate Performance dyno here in VA

I am reporting live from the dyno bay

Peak power without alochol was 330 whp and 325 TQ - pump gas

With alcohol we made just over 380 TQ and 350 whp

Here is the maxed out mack daddy data log - so much boost with the Forge actuator that the stock ignition is at its limits - nice unit that Forge actuator

Will post the dyno sheets later

We did not want to go any further as he has no head studs

This is great numbers with stock 2005 turbo and no cams

This is with a moderate 26 psi peak

Peak tq 361 - peak whp 342 uncorrected

Sae Peak tq 352 TQ 334 whp SAE

This is how I would suggest driing the car every day - when you see the dyno sheet is is very nice

Wow!...nice numbers.

Is that dyno AFR reading a little on the high side for a 'safe alky tune'?
My AFR on alky is 10.5-11.0 @26psi. Must be conservative tune due to the Cal. **** 91oct.

NOTE - Every car is different

That was the point of custom tuning

The main data to look at is knock which is nearly 100% absent on this car

Wow nice torque!! Hey Al, do you have a way of plotting a Boost vs. RPM map? Id like to see how well that Forge WGA holds boost up in the higher RPMS. Looks like it held 28 psi for a good 1k RPMs or so but im just guessing. Congrats Wartalon.

I wanted to make one point very clear

Thefirst post up here is a theroetcial MAX OUT tune that shows the limitations of how far the set up can go

The second post shows a resonable street use set up which is recomended for a daily driver car

Both of them show a car which is at the top of its game due to great parts selection and agressive tuning

Interesting results..

I made 374.8awhp/375.8tq with cams @ 26psi...on Pruven's dyno

Theoretically, war should make 372awhp/364 with cams @ 26psi (+30awhp)

Definatly impressive numbers considering the amount of mods warr has, I cant wait until I recieve my ported/coated parts from Buschur and head back up to Pruven one last time!!

Al- What 0-5v inputs are you monitoring in LogWorks?
If the green is knock it is very low both on and off alky. What are the RED & GOLD inputs?

Nice numbers Warr, can't wait to see the track times with the alky.

Im still baffled how I got my numbers w/o alcy... nevertheless, 350whp without cams is awesome number!
