Case Study # 171 - Member KerviosVIII - TME turbo action

I am taking over for Al on posting his so called Case Study's while he is in jail

This guy came to our shop today with the following parts on a nearly factory appearing Blue 8 with only 3,000 miles !

TME Turbo
GT Spec Turbo Manifold
HKS RS Intake
HKS 272 cams
Greddy 3 " Exhuast
Walbro fuel pump
HKS EVC
E Bay o2 housing
TX fmic and pipes

The car is making huge power for pump gas at 22 psi peak

Al seemed happy when he came back from his test drive and the customer seemed a bit white in the face so it must run ok

Nice numbers but that'd be pretty much the same thing on the stock turbo except you have slightly quicker spool?

It seems to me like the new cheap(er) turbo upgrade has gone from the TME to the IX 20G.

In any case, I'm sure the new power feels amazing!

This car is having a slight miss fire at 6,000 or so

A fresh set of plugs would prob clear that up

The dip is so slight you do not feel anything on the street

Its a time warp evo for sure

We thought it was a brand new IX when it came in

It is the cleanest evo 8 we have seen since they stopped selling them

Nice #'s Kris, I'm sure the car must be a blast to drive (Even if that only happens every other month or so).
