Question for Buschur Racing, Warrtalon or Al at DynoFlash

I was just going to email one of you guys but i thought maybe someone else may have this question too.

I have a Stage 5 Buschur Racing kit with 272 IN/EX cams, Race FMIC, no turbo upgrade and no injection upgrade. When i am in town i put 93 octane pump gas and set my boost at 20psi, when i go to the track I put 112 octane race gas in and max the boost out at 28psi.

The question is. There is a race gas company here in Sioux City, Ia where i buy my race gas. they sell this gas called Motorsport 103 which is 97 octane and says it handles up to 25psi of boost safely. Could I just fill up with that Motorsport 103 everytime i need daily driving gas and set my boost at 23-24 psi and be ok on the street? I mean for everyday driving? Or will it hurt my engine boosting that high everyday?? Just wondering cuz I dont want to hurt the engine or car in anyway but i have just been filling up with that Motorsport 103 for the past 2 weeks. Car is so much fun with boost that high.

On 97 octane you could boost 23psi daily but why would you want to? Save yourself the money on gas and just run lower boost and 93 octane. Put in the race gas at the track.

I didnt know Buschur had a stage 5. Is that just stage 4 with the addition of a race intercooler?

Well, 28psi is just really too much regardless of what you're doing. Keep it simple at 25psi, and yes, you can run 24-25psi daily on that 97oct, but it's best to get tuned specifically for it and to ensure there is no knock. If you want to run that stuff 24/7, you can boost higher 24/7. Btw, no reason in the world to run only 20psi with your mods on 93oct. The only reason for you to do 20psi would be 91oct, and even that's still a little low.

Ok, well my question is on 93 octane what is a "not to high or not to low boost"? and when i put in 97 octane what is a "not to high or not to low boost"? just want to be safe yet not be to low for boost.

And as far as saving my money and just running 93 octane,
1. i could but i love the added boost i can run... love the extra power
2. what else am i going to spend it on. lol
3. I cant take my money with me when i die.

And to inform Warrtalon, Al and Buschur Racing on something else.... When i blew my turbo off my exhaust manifold and did all that damage at the track, and then put everything back to stock and took the car into the mitsubishi dealer they warrentied it all and gave me a brand new exhaust manifold, turbo, turbo cooler lines, MAF sensor, spark plugs, and changed my oil and did a coolant flush.... they went over and beyond what i expected. but then i got the car back home, spent two days putting everything back on and she is a mean machine again.

22psi is used as the "highest" on 93 octane. Some EVO9's hit 23psi on 93. High octane gas is fine to use 24/7 as long as it's not leaded.

Im sure being only 97 oct that its unleaded. Aslong as its unleaded there should be no ill effects. In Japan u can buy 96 oct at the pump. I was also TOLD that they use a different Octane scale then we do and the gas isnt really that much better then our east coast 93.

if you do run higher boost make sure you regap your plugs. other wise you will throw a cel. p0300 mis-fire code.
