Amzing AWD Sports Coupe - Audi S5 spotted

This machine is really cool

This one is a V8 with 450 whp spoted by myself in Augora Hills Ca this weekend its a S5 version which has awd and a 6 speed manual trans

It seems they are also releasing a V6 turbo diesel version (dont know if that is comming to the USA)

I can see myself with a 1,000 whp propane injected turbo diesel awd Audi coupe

Those who frequent the forum will recall that I was the first one to spot a RS8 back this winter at Dulles Airport when they brought one over on luftansa air cargo 747 for the Detroit Auto show - I saw it sitting at the fed ex ramp when I was dropping off a ecu for shipment

I think this one was a test muel as it has Audi plates and also they have some electrical equipment inside they are playing with in the audio system

I like this car - I think it has potential

A guy who was there was the one who mentioned 450 whp -

If its only 350 hp - then I would probably prefer a turbo diesel V6 version

Still 350 hp normally asprirated is not bad

From what I could gleam from crawling under it it was AWD and the engine was located very far back in the chassis - it should handle nearly like a mid engined car

Audi was the one who started and pionered the whole Turbo AWD scene with the original Quattro and it seems that they are continuing to push the envelope with this machine

Why can't wrap the evo's power train and suspension into a sexy 2 door package - (kind of like a DSM?)

Oh well - it would be nice to throw two turbos on that audi - maybe I should start playing the lotto

Audi makes the same motor just racey, that pumps out 420 hp from the same exact block, that to me is nice My dad is looking at these cars now, for the price the S4 is a bargain, the RS4 steps it to a whole nother level.

Check out the 4.2 FSI motor Al, it is truly remarkable, they also use a Lamborghini V10 in the new S6/S8 not that is silly

Go on, just imagine a GT30R on either side....

Do you means the specs have been out for a while? I'm pretty sure the actual car isn't available to buy yet..

it will have the same motor as the s4 which is sub 400hp. There will be a rs5 (with the same motor as the rs4) with 4xxhp. They need to squees the old twin turbo rs6 motor in there. That car was unreal. Tranny definateloy became the weak link on those though, as I'm sure a hopped up turbo diesel would as well.

The stock S4 Motor is a 340 hp V8, the S5 comes with a slightly up tuned version doing something like 356 hp same 4.2 V8, the RS4 is a highly strung version of that motor producing 420hp.

AFAIK I have seen a couple of these cars in the road, local dealer by me has them in, my rents went to go check out the RS4/S4's yesterday and saw them in...

AL there is a rumor of an RS5 coming, so if you like that bodystyle get ready for almost another 100 hp

the S5 is one of the most beautiful Audi bodies ever produced IMHO, and that's saying a lot...

i've had the pleasure of test driving a RS4 a few days ago....that thing drives like the way it looks, pure sex.

that engine pulls harder and harder near redline, and the interior and gearbox felt absolutely awesome.

I am currently in austria right now, just stopped by the dealership they had like 10 on the lot. The S5 is 344 hp and v8, price tag get this 55,000 euro, you do the conversion. There are sweet though.
