Actually the "customer" was the gentleman in the video and the guy taking the video

He was very happy to have his car running well and enjoys fast driving etc

That road race driving is the kind of use the car gets so the idea was to make sure that the tune was safe and smooth all around the road course

That is also why they chose a road course for the tuning location rather than a dyno or a normal road

I think this kind of situation boils down to the customer's additude and desire. Not everyone wants to have their car tuned on a road racing course and yes there is a risk I can crash the car. However, by testing it and tuning it on the same track he is going to race on we know that the tune is perfect for what he is doing. Its kind of a trade off. Since the car is regularly road raced they do not consider driving it around the track "abuse" like you do.

Yes - sadly his 3rd gear synchro is non existant but on the good side the labor rates down here are so cheap he can get the trans R & R'd and rebuilt for about what we pay for a tank of gas and a movie.

Later the same day that Evo lost to the fastest WRX in El Salvador in the WRX vs EVO Championship of El Salvador

Here is a video

No flag men - no saftey crew - no ambulance - no hospital - no helmet

You crash and get hurt and you are 100% ****ed

I guess that makes it more "interesting" shall we say

In this video of the WRX vs EVO race I make some 150 mph fly bys down the main staight
