The killa guy pointed to dsmtimes as some sort of comprehensive list of fast evos to make his point.
I don't think that list is recent at all.
Plus I know of a lot of fast cars that are not listed there for sure.

there are very few non-shop 10sec Evo8s, just like there are few 10sec non-shop WRXs. there will be a WRX/Evo8 shootout in sacramento in late october, you can go there and find out if you'll be "handing anybody's asses."

the same goes for scoobymile. the point is that those non-shop cars that are being modded heavily are mostly in low 12s and high 11s. there are very few in the 10s and low 11s. that goes for both WRXs and Evo8s.

i know of several 10sec, 11sec WRXs that don't bother to post their times on scoobymile or on the intraw3b.

I know there are several fast slowbarus with large shots of NOS and some with auto tranmissions that have clicked off some fast drag times

BUT - Martin's AMS car (10.53) and my Evo (10.59) both run NO nos and I don't think many slowbaru's could hang with my car without nos

Too bad you have to take the motor out to run 11's.

too bad you can't read and comprehend. i did say i was running 3 cylinders, hence the 12.1sec time. the car can run 11s with the stock block, the only problem the day i ran was faulty injector wiring, not the block itself.

also got a bigger turbo and replacing my stock 2.25" midpipe which kill my times. but i didn't come here to brag about my car, only to quell your suby-hating bonfire.

for a car that's $4-5K less than an Evo8 in my area, that's pretty damn good. that is unless of course, you're so completely brainwashed by Al's suby-bashing that you can't form any sort of objectivity.
