Magic of Dave Buschur - 575 whp dyno sheet !

Many thanks to my friend Dave Buschur for taking the time on a very busy weekend to tune my car before the race

I had to get the car on a dyno today after fixing the broken clutch line to see what kind of power it was really making

HOW do you drive around a car making over 600 whp on a 2wd dyno ? . . . .

Here is my newest dyno sheet

Design and set up by Dyno Flash . . . tuning by Dave Buschur the master of 4G63 and AEM EMS tuning

If you need a AEM tuned - be sure and check out Buschur Racing (they include the tuning free with the AEM - could not believe that one)

Unlike some others throwing numbers about - I like to post my dyno sheets so you can see how well my engine design works in practice

Nice linear - smooth power band as usual - even at high power levels

Next up - my new cams and a quest to crack 600 whp on the awd dyno !

Wouldn't it be nice to see a full weight evo with a/c and radials going high 9's without nos ?

Al,

Great looking dyno.

I'm running HKS 272s right now and am going to upgrade. I'm torn between the Jun 272s and Piper cams. What made you decide to go with Jun over Piper?

Also, how much torque is your car making?
What's your boost set at?

Congrats on a great car and some impressive track times!

I may try the piper cams one day also - IMHO JUN is hard core stuff so I am very loyal to them

I had only 33 psi of boost on that dyno run

I think with the 3240 I would make another 100 whp - but prob it would have major lag with the 2,0 l - still I may try it out

Al,

I'm running a 3240 right now. I'm making 550awhp at 25 psi of boost. We're getting ready to crank the boost up to about 32 psi. If you're interested in seeing a copy of my dyno chart let me know and I'll send it to you. I'd be curious to see what your opinion is on the spool up time of the my set-up vs the HKS 3040 on a 2.0l. I went with a stroker kit which has it's pros and cons. The pros are torque and daily driveability. The cons are lower rev limit and the need to shift into fifth before crossing the 1/4 finish line. I'm looking into new gearing right now but choices are fairly limited at this time. Hopefully that will change soon.

Thanks

You really need to start posting your dyno sheets with torque readings listed. It really must be falling off substantially for there to be no gain in horsepower from 6,500 to 9,500. What's the deal?

Funky,

All that you need to do is look at his 1/4 mile times to know that his car is as powerful as advertised. Torque does start to fall off at higher RPM's. But he's still making enough of it to power his way up to some impressive trap speeds. The deal is, his car's a beast.
