Ethanol content boost

If you were to add ethyl alcohol/Ethanol to your already e85 filled gas tank, could you increase your Ethanol content?

ex: Everclear ( alcohol available at a liquor store ) is 95.4% alcohol by volume, Almost pure ethyl-alcohol.

Reasons for my asking;

winter blend fuels knock e85 down to e70 (this could mess w/ a tune)

For someone making the transition to e85, the residual gasoline in the tank would lower the ethanol content.

They swith to E70 during winter to help with cold start. If you try bringing it back to E85 you probably wouldn't be able to get the car started.

Yes you could but doing it with everclear would cost a ton. I have E98 at the shop which is 2.50 a gal VS the $20+gal for EverClear.

I was throwing the boose out there for example.

Where would one source some pure ethyl-alcohol?

Pure (anhydrous) ethanol is radically expensive and is usually available only from chemical supply outfits such as Sigma-Aldrich. It's going to be a lot more expensive than Everclear. It's actually pretty hard to get pure ethanol. You cannot with simple distillation thanks to a property known as azeotrope. Everclear is pretty close to azeotropic concentration, and anything more than that requires some fancy magic like drying over calcium chloride, etc.
