E85 vs. 100 octane

I am looking to retune this spring on either E85 or 100 octane. A local gas city carries both but I would like to hear your feedback as to which will make more power.

The car has all the bolt ons plus 272's and a Green turbo. Currently I use 93 + meth and the car dyno'ed 348hp/373tq. This was on the stock turbo. I am hoping to clear 400hp/tq. The car will mainly be used for road racing, not a daily driver.

I like the idea of E85 and more gas stations are carrying it which will make it easier for me to fill up. If I use the 100 octane then I have to monitor the tank much closer to be sure I am not stuck in BFE looking for high octane. The downside to E85 is that I will need to run a second walbro.

What does everyone think will gain the most power?

Well for a little help, I had similar mods, buschur TBE cosworth M2's and the rest of the bang and on a dynojet i was at 396tq on the stock turbo running 100 octane at 28psi spike. e85 is from what i heard is like 105octane or 109... so i would think e85 would be better. But your right, you have to run a double pumper and probably 1200cc injectors with the green. Im looking at running a 3065r with e85 so i have to do a lot of research.

E85 is better than 100 octane gas.

Sh*t, I wish I could get 100 or e85 in Long Island, NY. I'll take any.

I'm lucky. I have like 5 within a 10 mile radius.

You don't need a double walbro, unless you're pushing a serious amt of power (drag racing setup?) . They recently tuned a 2.4L gt35r hybrid turbo with 1000 cc injectors and a single walbro. Made 500+whp. THe injectors got maxed out, but fuel pump was sufficient:

My tuner said you can increase timing to something similar to 110 leaded race gas. on my Stage 1E RRE setup, timing was advanced 9 degrees over my 91 octane tune.

Here's my personal experience with E85:

You 100% sure on that? I thought that when running e-85 you needed ~20% more fuel then premium gasoline and anything over a stock turbo would require more then just a standard walbro 255.

a single walbro ran fine on his car, but if you want to be safe, you can do a double pump. He was only pushing 25psi however... If he cranked up the boost more and had larger injectors, a double pump would probably be needed on his car.
