I will call tech tomorrow and if I am wrong, will apologize..

For what I know, ZDDP is used as an Extreme Pressure Additive for wear on contact surfaces such as flat cams, aggressive ramps and/or extreme spring pressures... If there is a Side Benefit, I am unaware of it, but as I said I will call tomorrow and apologize if necessary.

Even after 35 yrs of doing this, I may learn something new.

Well, I called Tech this morning as I said I would....

As I said... ZDDP (Zinc and Phosphorous) is an Anti-Wear Additive pack that is used to protect cams, lifters, push rods and rocker arms and has Absolutely no effect on sealing the combustion chamber.

I can appreciate you wanting to sell the Best Synthetic oil on the market. But after 35 years, I can tell you that being accurate on information will get you a lot further than just tossing things out there.

I don't know it all, but I do know the right people to get the answer from if I don't. Mis-information can not only discredit you, but the entire company as well.

oh really, than we just got conflicting info from the same tech dept, and the RD oils do give you the benefit of better seal, with that being said is not a glue or any type of selaer ,,,, however with the zinc and phos being in the oil it does help with a better layer of oil between any moving part like piston rings against cylinder walls, connecting rods between wrist pins,,,, ect ect....

the RD oil line is a hands down oil, its not comparable to anything that we have or mobil has, however is not reccomended for long drain intervals and if you are not driving the car hard all the time we just reccomend you to go with straigh 100% synthetic
