E85 spark plug poll
Looks like there has not been an E85 spark plug thread for a while, so what plug is everyone running on their E85 EVO VIII?
Spark plugs and E85 on Evom.
Lots of good info in these threads, but I thought a poll might be informative.
I'd particularly like to hear responses from those that have actually used different plugs and why you gravitated to the plug you are currently using? What gap works best for you? How often do you change plugs? Do you bother with periodic inspection and re-gapping in between?

Thirty-three views, but no one uses spark plugs? HELLO!
I just took out a set of BPR8ES gapped to 0.020" and replaced them with a set of NGK BR7ES gapped to 0.018". The 8's were six month old and appeared normal - no black, no soot, just nice and clean and tan. Seemed a bit sluggish of late. Could be the consistent 100* high heat. ARRRRGH!
Or maybe I'm simply getting too used to the E85 power. Must...resist...urge...to...mod!

I WAS running the BR8ES plugs on my car when it was on pump gas and the life was ok with them... But since i have went to E85 i have found them to not last very long per plug change... Every 2 weeks i was having to replace plugs due to spark blow out. Seems theyre too cold for my car with daily driving... and E85 is wanting a hotter plug. I took a step back to the BPR8ES plugs "which i believe are a half step hotter then the BR8ES" and am going to see how long of life i get out of them. They have been in for a week and i havent had a hicup out of them yet. And for referance on my setup Im running 34psi daily on an AMS 2.0 block and 850R turbo with the sparktech non CDI ignition. Gapped at .024
