brass and e 85

can brass or aluminum hose barbs be used on e85 fuel system?

Acccording to www.ethanol.org

Fittings and Connectors
All fittings, connectors, and adapters that will be in contact with the fuel blend should be made of materials like stainless steel (best choice), black iron, or bronze to avoid degradation. If aluminum or brass fittings are used, they must be nickel plated to avoid any contact between the bare metal and the fuel ethanol.

i saw some picture of br double pump and full blown setup. br from what i can saw it has brass fittings ( i could be wrong ) and on full blown is just anodized ( could it be consider as coating ) how does one get fittings coated with nickel???

I still would like to know diffinitively if anodized aluminum is OK? Because it's not on the list does that mean no? My ID1000 injector adapters are aluminum, as are many fuel rails etc.
