E85-Dyno tune or Street Tune?
Just like the title says, Ive searched and found nothing on this topic..sorry if I missed it..
Do the rules change when running e85 when it comes to tuning? Im do for a tune very soon and I have to decide wheather I want to get a street tune or dyno tune...
I feel like a street tune Ill be left out of alot of available power from e85..I could be wrong
Could some of you with expierence chime in on this? What did you go with and what would you change?

Don't think it matters what gas you run. Dyno vs street has its advantages/disvantages. I'd say dyno tune since its safer for you and for the tuner whom is sitting in the seat next to you. I don't want to be held respnsobile for causing injury to another person.

I've had my VIII professionally tuned five times. Three on a dyno and twice via email.
The results from both email tunes were far superior to the three dyno tunes .
The slow and methodical data-logging road-tuning via-email process simply can't be properly replicated on a dyno in a hurry, IMNSHO.
You can't go wrong with either Chris at Mellon Tuning or Jay at Boosted Tuning; both are EvoM vendors. I've been tuned by Chris and by Jay, and they are terrific.
Email tune FTW!!!

its possible to go right past mbt with no knock when running e85, so the only way to set best timing is by watching hp/tq. for a road tune, this requires doing all the tuning pulls under the same conditions (e.g., same piece of road, same direction, same outside air temp).

EvO, as discussed over PM's, just make sure you have a very reputable tuner who is very comfortable with road tuning on e85. Someone like Mellon who does this on a daily basis. There are already too many threads of guys throwing rods because they had 24 degrees of peak timing, when they should have had much less.
