The alternative fuel tax credit is scheduled to expire at the end of this year and would raise our e85 38 cents per gallon.

Expiration of a Tax credit?
No dis-respect to the OP but Gov't is subsidizing the @#*^ out of Ethanol
I'd rather have e85 as an option and have pure petrol also available
- Has more energy density/mileage
- Better for the machined internals, injectors, etc
Here's to being pro-choice.
Most ethanol is wasted in mediocre performance 10pc blends...mandated by the gov't

Apparently some people get a little heated over this topic. All I'm trying to do is to help keep it available and resonably priced. If you don't like my thread then start your own and gripe about the government! Thanks to everybody who's supporting this initiative!

In addition to letters being sent - I suggest you all sign and share my petition on whitehouse.gov
Here is the link: https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petition...n-oil/nvkmHtmn
It takes a few signatures for it to become public, so even if you dont have a whitehouse.gov account make one and show your support
OP: if you would be so kind, include my link in the original post.

Not a tax but subsidy. Around here the farmers would plow the roads if they could get away with it. And, its on my tab. If the fuel can't stand on its own feet it should be gone.

Title of this thread is "STOP 38 cent/gal e85 tax!!!!!"
-or-
Title of this thread is "EXTEND 38 cent/gal e85 Subsidy!!!!!"
.................
A posible edit of you letter might be something like this:
Dear Senator_______,
"As performance enthusiasts, I/we support subsidy for e85.
However, lesser ethanol blends, are crap
for motor, the environment, and fuel economy.
Please make them go away.
Don't confuse our support of e85
for a general support of lesser blends"

classic case of stop the subsidies and crony capitalism... unless it benefited me.... screw the country , its my kick back.
The US needs to spend within its income, not create little give backs that cost the government money.
Of course in the scheme of things this is a wart on a pigs back, but still.
enjoy while you can, the piper will come some day.
