Based on some offline correspondence I had with Mynes I would definitely recommend them as being a good vendor to deal with.

Received the ECUFlash cable today. Why has it been cut and connected back together with a crimp on connector?

If I'm not mistaken, that's so you can disconnect the programming connector and just have the OBD connector for logging. You only need the other connector while flashing the ECU.

I hope you are right since I do not intend to use the flash part of the cable. I have na Xede and only need the cable for logging purposes.

That doesn't explain why it would need to be cut. Its still permanently attached.
